On 8th November 2014, the Oratorio Chorus marks its return to Sheffield Cathedral with a performance of the Verdi Requiem, in a concert that will commemorate 100 years since the outbreak of World War I. With around one hundred and fifty singers and a full scale orchestra, the evening will be a tribute to the dead of the two world wars, whose sacrifice will be marked with an act of remembrance during the concert.
A commemorative programme will accompany the concert, in which we will include personal dedications to family members and loved ones who fell in the two world wars.
Dedications are available at £15 for up to two names. Regimental details will be included on request. The money raised will help us to meet the costs of this special performance. Please contact us if you would like to make a dedication, or if you would like to find out about other forms of sponsorship. The deadline for requesting dedications is 8th October 2014.
